Press release of 01.10.2015
Within the framework of an increase in capital, Eberhard Bau AG, based in Kloten, has purchased a minority stake in the Zürich-based Concretum Construction Science AG.
Eberhard Bau AG is a subsidiary of Eberhard Holding, which is also based in Kloten. With around 500 employees, the Eberhard Group is an important player in the Swiss construction materials and civil engineering market. The company, which was founded more than 50 years ago, is considered an extremely innovative representative of the industry and for decades has been characterised by its excellent pioneering work in civil engineering, dismantling, recycling and cleaning of legacy contaminants.
Concretum Construction Science AG was founded in 2001 as an ETH spin-off supplier of special concrete and concrete admixtures. The technology company Concretum currently employs 13 people at its locations in Zürich and Embrach. The company has made a name for itself, in particular, with its unique rapid-hardening concrete technology for reconstructing transport infrastructure while in use. The products have also been in use since 2013 in selected European countries. In the coming years, the focus will increasingly be on international growth and a targeted further development of the rapid-hardening concrete technology.
Even after this investment both companies will remain separate, autonomous and independent.
